I reckon the most valuable advice we offer companies is how not to waste their money online. OME spend loads of time discussing social networks, referral networks and associated topics and while there is nothing wrong with effective use of these sites its all about working out what you want to get out of the campaign. Normally for many organisations its about quality response and ROI. To achieve this, most organisations need to do the following things in rough order of priority:
- Recruitment Process (careers site, ATS etc)
- Job seeker candidate attraction (job boards etc)
- Search Engine Marketing
- Online innovation (Second Life etc)
- have you got an efficient application process and candidate experience?
- are you on the right sites with the right ads?
- are you using the search engines effectively?
