Blogging Frequency

April 18, 2007 / by domsumners

This is a bit of a personal post but it does have relevance to the advice we give to our clients about keeping the interactive parts of their websites fresh and interesting.
We are horrendously busy at moment with our clients work and it is exactly at this point you neglect your own web presence - and end up with a neglected website / blog - the thing we advise our clients never to do.

Also as we foolishly called ourselves OnlineMediaExperts we leave ourselves open to amusing digs when there are problems on our site - my worst day here was when our email was down and i had to grimace through twenty jokes from our friends in the media along the lines of "that's not very Expert is it??" - oh how we laughed!
Anyway - this list reflects the paranoia of the blogger.

When to Blog?

- if i blog all the time - does it look like i have no work to do - what will my boss think? my clients think?

- If i blog on a Saturday night - do i look like the saddest person in the world? - in fact am I the saddest person in the world?

- If i don't blog - maybe every one will forget i ever started it - that would be great

- i have nothing to say - why didn't i remember that every time i started a diary it petered out on Jan 8th - last entry being "took sandwiches to school - did not enjoy double maths"

- will anyone notice if i copy and paste someone else's dissection of the online market - answer - probably not and you can always quote an old favourite of mine "beggars borrow but geniuses steal"

The overall comment to all this - is keep blogging and don't think about it too much
