Account Manager for Onlinemediaexperts

So due to the fact that the business has continued to grow and outstrip the business plan - we are looking to recruit another account manager to start in January. While i try and get round to writing a decent advert (its No 7 on my to do list and i never get past No5 - so it may be a while) i thought i would put some unstructured thoughts down on the blog which may help get me started. Also one of the legions of people who read this blog (a legion is any number over 3 - yes??) may know someone who wants to take the plunge.

OK so here goes

Job Title - Account Manager

Decent Salary + Bonus + some hazily defined benefits and better than average holiday entitlement

(dont know about you but think this bit needs some work...)

What will you do?

* Account Management of our clients advertising. Booking, Optimising,

checking adverts to make sure they are web friendly.

* Liaising with Media (build relationships, negotiate rates etc)

* Helping set up systems and processes to maximise efficiency of company.

* Dealing with clients on phone - taking briefs, answering queries, and just generally helping them.

* General customer service

* Being developed in areas that the company is looking to exploit further ie the cool stuff.

 In summary - I perceive you will be involved in everything we do other than acquiring the clients (the selling bit). Although every interaction we have with a client is "selling" as it is about demonstrating our quality and enthusiasm. 

Why should you want to do the job?

* we have a quaint belief that we are doing something that really adds value to our clients and we passionately believe in what we do. It is so rewarding doing a great job and being thanked by your clients.

* we are growing at a massive rate and therefore your job in 6 months may be entirely different to the one you start with.

* we are rather nice people to work with and we try and only work with reasonably nice clients too (this can occasionally be superseded by not so nice clients who want to pay us lots of money)

 Who do we want to recruit?

We are very open minded - but this may be suitable for someone who works for

* an ad agency but wants to get into online

* a media owner who wants to get into agency world

You could be in customer service or sales but as you may gather we have no problem in giving you the development in online and or ad agency account management - as that's the easy bit. We most of all crave bright people with a great attitude - we can give you the rest.
